I found a recipe for the best chocolate chip cookies ever! I found 2 secrets to making these cookies irresistable – using good quality vanilla as well as Ghiradelli chocolate chips. The pecans in this recipe add a nice touch as well. Simply delicious!

Wet Ingredients
2 sticks of butter softened (do not use margarine)
1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/1 tsp vanilla extract (do not use the cheap brand)

Dry Ingredients
2 1/2 c flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 12 oz bag Ghiradelli milk chocolate chips
1 c chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
In another bowl, sift together flower, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Slowly combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients. When mixed, then add the chocolate chips and the pecans. Do not over mix – very important!

Place round balls (golf ball size) onto parchment lined baking sheet – 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 min or just until edges are light brown. Do not overbake. Cool in pan for 1 min and transfer to wire rack.

Depending on the size of your cookies – you can get 30-48 cookies.

You will never use another recipe after this one!
