I saw this tweet this morning – and you all know me by now – I equate cupcakes with chocolate – and so there was no choice BUT to click on the link …
Which brings you to this post.
Trust me – you don’t want to miss it.
I don’t know about you, but I am learning to revile the word ‘reject’ or ‘rejection’. Loathe it. I close my eyes now whenever I see it. But, there’s something about adding the look of a cupcake – a delicious chocolate cupcake, or maybe vanilla with chocolate icing, or even red velvet – that takes away the stinging aspect to the word. It even puts me in my happy place. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet.
So what say you – shall we join the cupcake revolution? LOL Or should we all just pass along the cupcakes to enjoy whenever you open that email and the dreaded “R” word pops up?
>If the crossed out cupcake came up on the email instead of a rejection letter, everyone would soon come to hate cupcakes. Might be good for the diets right?
>karen – you make a good point π Not sure if I like it though … hahahaha
>How about we buy ourselves a real cupcake when we get a "yes?"
>Lisa – like that's even in question π We should do a great cupcake giveaway when we get our "YES'"
>I am buying the largest cupcake I can find when I get a "yes." I promise to post a picture on my blog because it will happen. Hopefully one day soon.
>I always buy chocolate cake (or any cake with chocolate on it) when I get a request (you know, 'cause I'm going to have to share it with my family). I'm about to start querying, and my husband is really hoping I land a bunch of requests . . . just not on the same day. π
>I'm loving this "Cupcake Revolution"!!! It makes those dreaded forms seem more sugary and less sour!
>Karen had a hilarious post! I think in honor of the idea, I'm going to start buying a cupcake for every big R. For my kids, of course, not me. Because that would make me a big, fat pig. (wink, wink.)Thanks for sharing!
>Like the cupcake idea. Hey, a mini cupcake for every rejection should be okay? Or maybe I'm just not submitting enough… LOL five cupcakes in a day (even minis) would be a lot!
>I have never eaten a cup cake.
>The girl who wrote that cupcake post seems like a genius to me. Then again, I might be a little biased. ;)Thanks for the sweet link and shout out! π
